The use of phones for research purposes? Yes. Use of phones for tests? No.

Hello, everyone.

Welcome to my blog and another wonderful edition of the Hive Learner's featured post. The evolvement of technology has really made life a lot easier; everything about life became better, and it is all thanks to technology. Those days one could spend days travelling by foot or using animals, but technology made it possible to travel the same distance within hours and even minutes. The days where we wrote letters and waited for months before the recipient got it and then waited for months to get their response delivered to us, technology has made it possible for information and messages to be delivered in seconds, and we can get responses in a few minutes too.

The evolvement of technology really did take away suffering from mankind and give us access to a lot of things the lack of technology deprived us access to; those days students had to go to. Cyber cafes before they can access the internet and carry out research or get an assignment done, but these days it is no longer so, as students can now access the internet and get research done from the comfort of their homes and without needing to step outside, as technology has provided and made everything available and made it less stressful for students and researchers.

The truth is that the access to technology has really affected students performance; the access to technology has really made students lazy, and they no longer want to undergo any stress to get academic stuff done, especially with the existence of artificial intelligence. These days students just give artificial intelligence instructions, and this AI helps them to overcome their every academic task without them lifting a finger. As much as it is fun, less stressful, and more efficient and saves time as well as cost, it is making students lazy and causing them to get even more dull as every little task they run to artificial intelligence and no longer uses their brains to get anything done.

A lecturer addressed the issue of using artificial intelligence the other day in class, and I felt attacked, but it was the truth: many students, myself included, now completely depend on artificial intelligence and no longer want to use our brains for anything. Every little question asked, we rush to ask artificial intelligence for answers, doing very little with our brains that was actually meant to do a lot.

The lecturer said that this artificial intelligence that we completely rely on was programmed by a human being and cannot do more than it has been programmed to do, but we humans, with no limit at all, decide to rely on and trust something with limits. Many of us are guilty of this; we have zero limits, but out of laziness and not wanting to undergo any stress, we have decided to fall and relax on these devices that are limited.

For me, I feel phones and the use of artificial intelligence should only be allowed to assist students with research and probably homework but not in class and for tests, as at this point, a student's intelligence should be tested to see if they are capable of doing anything on their own without the help of artificial intelligence and phones, as well as help to sharpen their minds and brains, reminding them that their phones and artificial intelligence will not always be there, which makes it important for them to work on self-confidence and their brains to help them believe in themselves.

Yea i can relate to when i do use my ohones for research purposes and cyber cafe

The use of AI is very rigorous these days. Instead of creativity and and thinking, students opt for easy solutions and this is very bad for mental growth

It is a great point you have said regarding to allowing student to use phone for a search for not using them during test. Because the rate by which students rely on internet and Artificial intelligence is outrageous.
