PEOPLE
In this week 178 of #hiveopenmic Community, our theme is people and it's chosen by a beautiful lady with a beautiful voice @benii. I find this theme very interesting becauae it has prompted me to say a few things about a special set of people that I have always interected with over the years. The set of people I'm referring to are children. Naturally, I have special love for children and I always interact with them where ever I find myself. As a matter of fact, one of the basic means of gathering children around me for the purpose of teaching them the Christian faith and morals is music. Right now in my present place of assignment, I have more than eighty children who learn music from me. These children are in two groups of not less than 40 people each. It has been a wonderful experience relating with these set of people and I count myself so privilege to have them around. In about one Month that I started teaching these children how to play the recorders, they have learn so much and I wish to share with you one of our pieces with the title 'Oranges and Lemons'. I did this video with one of the two groups of People who learn music from me. Cheers 🥂
LYRICS
Oranges and lemons
Say the bells of St. Clement's
You owe me five farthings
Say the bells of St. Martin's
When will you pay me?
Say the bells of Old Bailey
When I grow rich
Say the bells of Shoreditch
And when will that be?
Say the bells of Stepney
Oh, I do not know
Say the great bells of Bow
Here comes a candle
To light you to bed
And here comes a chopper
To chop off your head
Oranges and lemons
Say the bells of St. Clement's
You owe me five farthings
Say the bells of St. Martin's
When will you pay me?
Say the bells of Old Bailey
When I grow rich
Say the bells of Shoreditch
And when will that be?
Say the bells of Stepney
I do not know
Say the great bells of Bow
Here comes a candle
To light you to bed
And here comes a chopper
To chop off your head
THANKS FOR YOUR PRESENCE
