I write this post in honor of my dear sister that died early this morning.
Heaven has again obtained another angel during her 70th year birthday week.
Such a finality that one feels when reading a shocking message early morning of a bad tiding. Like me, she also did much for the poor and now it was her time to go. So many are going to miss her heart.
So I am now what they call the last man standing of my family. Gran gone, Mom gone baby sister gone and now eldest sister also gone.
I don't want to talk too much and I will rather use a special song here that she loved.
"There is a season, a time to be born and a time to die"
For everything there is a season,
A time for every purpose under heaven:
A time to be born and a time to die,
A time to plant and a time to reap,
A time to break down and a time to build up.
A time to weep and a time to laugh,
A time to mourn and a time to dance,
A time to gain and a time to lose,
A time to keep and a time to cast away.
*A time to embrace and a time to refrain,
A time for silence and a time to speak,
A time to love and a time to hate,
A time of war and a time of peace. *
Oh yes, we had very tough lives, raised without a father but she was a rough diamond that was polished by the trials of life to become a brilliant stone that was now raised to heaven. I don't want to talk too much, but life has it's way with all of us also here on hive and we can only try to be our best every day.
Song credit.
(To Everything There Is a Season) ", is a song written by Pete Seeger in the late 1950s and first recorded in 1959. The lyrics – except for the title, which is repeated throughout the song, and the final two lines – consist of the first eight verses of the third chapter of the biblical Book of Ecclesiastes.
