Hello friends! I hope you have been having a terrific week so far. Last night I was up late cooking.
When I carved my pumpkin the other day, I saved the seeds:
I picked out as much of the orange, stringy goop as I could, and then rinsed them well in a collander. Then I let them dry for a couple days.
I mixed them up with a small amount of butter, and cinnamon, nutmeg, and ginger. Then I roasted them in the oven.
I was also making cinnamon rolls from scratch.
I had JUST enough all purpose flour, powdered sugar (for the icing), and eggs to make the recipe. I think I used too hot of water to proof the yeast though, as it didn't rise very well. Oh well, they're still edible. 😅
I packed up four gifts with cinnamon rolls and pumpkin seeds. I had received some Halloween treats with a card attached a couple of days ago:
This was me trying to print out copies, but they weren't very readable on my b&w printer, so I also wrote it out:
And included that plus a list of ingredients (I have allergies and can't eat a lot of things, so I'm mindful of letting other people know what's in things) in the bags with the treats. I reuse containers, I hope they don't think that's odd, but the cinnamon rolls went into (clean!) yogurt tubs, and the seeds went into mint tins. :)
Bagged it all up and delivered treats to four neighbors. They've been booed! 🎃😄
And now I need a nap. I only slept like four hours I think. LOL
Happy Samhain! 😃🎃
