Here at Planetauto, we don't just review cars...Introducing 92 Crew Carriacou

in #carreviews6 days ago

This is 92 Crew Carriacou. Around the start of 2023, a friend of ours asked for some help with editing a video for a music track of a Grenadian artist.

Now this is a very good friend, he was the one who sourced ChickenPig for us, our Mk II GTi, and knew that we did all of our own editing for all of our Planetauto reviews, and that he was in good hands!

In double quick time, Ben had created this - the first YouTube music video for 92 Crew Carriacou. This is authentic Caribbean Drum 'n Bass and Jungle, with a touch of Reggae, and with both of us helping, they upload a new track with music video at the beginning of each month.

Now, some of you may have heard some of their music, as we've used a couple of their tracks on our reviews. Hopefully you've liked what you've heard so far!

Whilst we aim to share more of their music here, Ben and I are hoping that you can let us know what you think, and if you like it, share it.

The main guy is Ron, who runs a smoothie bar in Carriacou, and he regularly shimmies up and down trees to source fruit for them. He's happy family man, full of life and is always up for adventure. He popped over to the UK last Summer, and I don't think he wore shoes for most of the time.

Over the past 18 months his fluency in English has increased from the odd word here and there on a track, to singing full lyrics. The Londoner you will hear periodically on the track is our friend, and he produces, sources samples, etc. etc.

We will share more of their music with you, and as we do so, if any of you have any idea on how to get the word out, that would be great.

We would love to hear these guys on the radio! Any ideas??

Thank you all, and enjoy!
Annabelle 😊

I don't know about getting on to the radio, but you might like to post in the Reggaejahm community and @dmilliz may have some other ideas, too.

Excellent thank you @shanibeer - I didn't even know that existed looks the perfect place to post

I've also sent it to a friend who has a connection with a local radio station in London. I haven't spoken to them yet but maybe we could get it played.

You could also try contacting Don Letts who has a show on Sunday evenings on BBC Radio 6 Music on Sunday evenings. There may be a better way of getting his attention, I'll come back to you after I've spoken to my friend.

Hey @planetauto, here is a little bit of BEER from @steevc for you. Enjoy it!

Did you know that <a href='https://dcity.io/cityyou can use BEER at dCity game to buy cards to rule the world.

That's cool. I knew you had good video skills, but music stuff can be tricky. I hope some others enjoy this tune.

Thank you, especially as Dave wants it in a specific style no RR, Bentley lux hotels more the style of early Prodigy think Out of Space video style.
