A collection of my addiction work

Alcoholism nearly destroyed my life. It really did. Right now I could have been laying in the gutter face first in the ground choking on my own sickness. Thankfully I pulled myself out of it, and I had lots of help along the way.

This is quite an epic journey in this video. Have a watch. See what you think.

After this I recommend you go watch this one:

I firmly believe the death of community is what's causing a lot of these new mental health illnesses that are on the rise, and are completely the cause of my alcoholism in my youth.

To put it into retrospect -- there was an experiment done on some rats. They put them in a cage and they were able to take some water from the water tube, and some alcohol in the alcohol tube. Tentatively the rats would drink the alcohol more and more until it would spend its days very drunk.

Then they did another experiment where they had the same rats and put their families in there with them and also toys and play things for them to be busy. Turns out all the rats stayed away from the alcohol drink. Humans are no different.

LEO Power Up Day - August 15, 2024

First, I'll say am super glad you pulled out as at the time you did iconic Ray. Kudos to the ones who helped in your recovery journey too.

It's really difficult loosing a loved one especially those that plays parental roles that too at a tender age..... one can only imagine the pain you had to endure. 😧 To a hero like John, may his soul continue to find peace with his creator.

It's been a hard old journey for sure!
