I've been spending more time away than ever recently, between work and leisure, honestly I think I'm due to spend only about six to seven days in my house here in Hereford this month, and I wasn't here that much in July either!
I'm quite happy with this situation, for now, 25% of the time local is just about right for me, but what with being out so much I decided to put together an 'away bags' list so I can check everything before I go!
I use several small bags when I go away, it's a bit of a faff, but it helps me compartmentalize!
I actually have 3 bags as standard, if I'm only going away for one, maybe two nights. If I'm just away or working away for three nights or more I'll up that to 6 or 7!
It's usually the later I'm away for.

8. Anything else...?
Just a reminder to check anything else I'm taking for specific journeys!

Already in car (check)
- car emergency stuff
- medical bag
- shopping bags (you can NEVER have enough bags!!!)
- large water bottle
- screen wash (fill up and put screen wash back in house!)
Bags and Bags and Bags, final thoughts...
The main downside of the above is that it can take TWO trips to get all the bags out of the car, but you can get the essentials out with one trip, and then leave stuff in the boot to collect when it's easy.
It works for me!
