So oddly enough I am not entirely dreading the thought of THREE WHOLE WEEKS of full time work incoming!
Actually it's MORE than full-time - I've got two part-time jobs overflapping, one 3 days a week and the other 2.5 days a week.
Although with one of them I can WFH 1.5 days which helps, and with one of them coming to an end, I can relax a little, not enough to take the piss obviously, but I certainly won't be going above and beyond, just doing a fair amount of work.
I decided NOT to keep on my MP job, I'll probably be moving out of the area next year and it's a local job, and the fit just wasn't quite right, my new role is going to be much less stressful, actually getting paid to do some advising with good old Citizens Advice, which is something I am used to.
That job is only temporary, up until maybe April 2025 and then maybe, probably beyond that, and i'm looking forward to getting started!
NOT looking forward to the overlap and full-time work, this is REALLY NOT something I am used to, but needs must and the money will come in handy, naturally.
How to manage it....
I think I'll just pull a couple of LONG days Monday and Thursday, two 10 hour days isn't too bad, and then just mop up for an hour or two Saturday and Sunday.
For three weeks it will be OK, and then of course I get some time off over XMAS which will be great!
I'll need my morning and evening sessions.....
I need to make sure I am eating properly, working out and keeping up with some blogging work (Work II below)....
A.M....
- 5.45 - Up
- 6.15 - Run
- 7.00 - Shower and prep day
- 7.30 - start work, may allow for an early finish!
P.M....
- 17.30 - Quick work out
- 18.00 - Eat, tidy, prep food for following day.
- 19.00 - Work II
- 21.00 - Yoga and meditation
- 21.30 - Bed!
Final thoughts...
I'm wavering between...
"it doesn't look that bad"
and
"it all look a bit shite."
And that's what Dalle made of that prompt!
W, it's only three weeks, then CHILL!!!
