Coffe Aromas And Cherished Company

I find it incredible how we can start to remember certain pleasant moments through a simple aroma. Although, perhaps for many, it's no longer just a simple aroma.

I may have become a bit addicted to the act of holding a cup of coffee in my hands, pausing for a minute to take in its aroma, and trying to engrain that small moment into my memory. I might even believe that, more often than not, I'm not just seeking a pleasant coffee to indulge my palate but also to use that powerful phrase, "I deserve it."

Am I aging, or is this part of growing up?

Yesterday, I passed by a place that opened its doors in the city about two months ago. Due to various reasons, I hadn't had the chance to stop by, enter, and see the space in more detail, let alone try any of the products they prepare there.

I have to say I entered with two purposes, one of which was to take a couple of photos to share my experience of the place and some of its flavors. But, honestly, I think I failed in that regard

That place had some background music playing, and then when I started to smell the aroma of the coffee, I quickly began to think about those people who are far away and with whom I wished I could sit there and chat for a while.

Then, at one point, I even wished to have my father nearby to send him a message on WhatsApp and tell him to come share a coffee with me and chat about anything. The thought of my dad came to mind because I remembered a trip to Caracas where I took him to a place to try a mochaccino. It was very funny when he asked why that coffee was so expensive, and then after trying it, he said it was quite delicious.

Strangely enough, I also wished I had a couple of my friends there with me to try some of the things they sold at that place, which looked very visually appealing.

Honestly, I don't know what happened to me at that moment that I completely lost focus on the initial purpose of my visit and somehow managed to disconnect from my present. However, it was not unpleasant at all, and, God! What a wonder technology is because I could take my phone to bother a friend while I finally managed to have my breakfast and finish that coffee I had ordered.

Although today, I think that when I order a vanilla latte again, I will laugh remembering when I took my phone to bother a friend.

Last night, I still had plans to write a post completely different from what I've done now. What changed?

Today, I took advantage of having the morning free and loved being able to wake up, serve a cup of homemade coffee, and sit in front of the computer to greet my friends on Discord, check a few things on Hive, and at the same time plan my day and think about whether what I really want to do is the right thing.

After this, I realized how much I loved being able to drink coffee at home, in my space, in my place. And definitely, this has been the best coffee so far in 2025.

It is incredible what a delicious coffee can activate in our emotions, the best coffee is the one we make at home. Gretings.

Oh, yes... its aroma is capable of many things, we saw that.

I don't drink coffee but I could share a coffee with you.

It would be very pleasant company.

I know that addiction well! :D And I don't think it's growing old, I think it's normal. You do deserve it - life's weird enough as is, you gotta carve out little happy moments for yourself.

You know, I was recently talking about this with a friend of mine: “life is strange enough” and at the same time a bit unfair!

Very nice selection of words, thank you very much for taking a few minutes to read my post.
Greetings,

Hey there!

Thanks for stopping by:)

You enjoyed it and that is what is valued. You got that place right so, you didn't waste your time. Sometimes we have to pay dearly for something that wasn't worth it, thank God it wasn't your case hahaha. Best regards.

Hahaha, yes, it's crazy, as you say, we didn't regret it so much because it was still tasty.
Thanks for stopping by.

The experience of sharing a coffee is something unique. For me it is something very very special that is why I extended my invitation to have coffee hehe best regards.

Ah, look, that's funny... let's see if I'm going to cash that invitation!

I will tell you Rosmi that smells are able to evoke memories because of the direct connection that exists between the sense of smell and the brain regions in charge of emotions and memory. This does not occur with the other senses.

In this case they brought you very good memories, and of course you deserve good moments in front of a cup of good coffee.

Best regards.

Yes, I think that smelling something, sometimes, is like a trigger to bring back to the present something you experienced in the past.
Quite curious, I think that from now on, when I'm having a good time, I will look for a pleasant aroma!
Thank you, very nice words.

You are welcome, Rosmi. I also pay attention to certain smells. In winter there are days whose cold smell (I don't know if cold smells 🙁) take me back to my childhood.

Happy weekend.

What coffee can do, it can bring us to think about our friends, family, and to be able to think that we have them close to us.

Yes, haha, who would think that a simple coffee, is a companion for an outing or to share a chat with a loved one.
