Why Combine BORN AGAIN and EQUAL OPPORTUNITY?
First, let’s understand why this combination is so powerful. The BORN AGAIN rule allows monsters to come back to life after being killed. This means that monsters with this ability will have a second chance to fight and survive longer on the battlefield. On the other hand, the EQUAL OPPORTUNITY rule gives monsters the ability to attack from any position and target the enemy with the lowest health points. This is highly effective in ensuring that attacks focus on weak and easily defeated enemies.
By combining these two rules, you can create a nearly unbeatable strategy. Placing monsters with the Martyr and Bloodlust abilities on your team will not only make your team last longer but also make them stronger each time they successfully defeat an enemy.
Monster Positioning Strategy
So, how do you position your monsters to get the maximum advantage from these two rules?
One of the best ways is to place your strongest monster between monsters with the Martyr ability. When I encountered this battle ruleset, I chose to use the Earth element because it has monsters with the Martyr ability that are very suitable, such as FUNGUS FLINGER and VENARI MARKSRAT from the neutral element. These two monsters have the Martyr ability and low health points, making them the primary target of enemy attacks with the Opportunity ability.
With this strategy, you can utilize the Martyr power up to four times from the two Martyr monsters. This means your main monster will receive significant buffs, making them stronger each time a Martyr monster on your team is killed.
Battle Strategy Example
I want to share my experience using this strategy. You can see this ability in action from my battle here:
In that battle, I utilized the Bloodlust ability of QUORA TOWERSHIELD, flanked by two Martyr monsters. Then, I placed monsters at the front and back to also benefit from the Martyr effect. PELACOR MARCENARY, with its Heal ability, served as the front tank, while GRUND and DJINN BILJKA gained additional abilities from the Martyr effect. DJINN BILJKA would not be attacked due to its Camouflage ability, keeping it safe from enemy attacks.
With this strategy, we can see how each enemy attack becomes an opportunity for our team to grow stronger. Monsters with low health points will be the first targets, and each time a Martyr monster is killed, our main monster will receive buffs, making them increasingly difficult to defeat.
