Introduction
I am now the official Bro player for GLG and play with the @brofund account. I wanted to keep everyone aware of my progress with some blogs. Today I have been busy playing my first matches with BRO FC in the Open Beta launch of the game!
First Impressions
After spending a considerable amount of time yesterday building BRO FC and securing some last minute signings! (see below) I am pleased to report that my hard work and preparation appears to have paid off with the team still undefeated at the time of writing this post.
I feel this is in large part due to our good luck with opening packs and the strong pairing of our Coach Millwall who is making a big impact boosting our teams tackling and morale while at the same time reducing the opponents stamina.
Gameplay
I was impressed by how smoothly the game ran and the timing between each play seemed spot on. I know the team are already busy implementing new features and gathering feedback from players. Substitutions and player skills being just two.
I would also like to see a team lineup screen before heading into the match and player name indicators to assist with decision making during a game. This would also help with the potential scouting of new players for your team.
I scored one amazing team goal where every player was involved in the build up. It would have been great to have been able to replay the goal or even submit it as a Goal of the Week contender!
New signings!
Here are two new welcome additions to BRO FC.
These were the standout players from 20 more packs opened and both slotted straight into our Starting Lineup.
Transfer Market
With so many players available on the market, it can be difficult to identify the right ones for your team and budget. With that in mind I would like to offer some transfer recommendations for players that have stood out in my own team and could prove worthy additions to your teams too.
If you have any players to recommend, feel free to leave a comment below and I will compile a Scout Report for some of them in a future post.
Scout Report
Todays featured player is Ryan Gauld who plays as an attacking midfielder for Vancouver Whitecaps FC. I was fortunate enough to pack his Gold Foil card and have been very impressed by his performances on the pitch in particular his ability to burst past defenders and find the back of the net. His regular card can be picked up for around $1 which I feel makes him a very affordable option for any managers looking for a decent goalscoring midfielder.
Let me know what you think of Gauld if you decide to go ahead and pick him up or if he is already in your team.
Thanks everyone. Stay tuned for more GLG Updates coming very soon!
