Hello everyone!

Yesterday, I just randomly started to play with images on Adobe LightRoom. Then, I wanted to take some screenshots from some games, and try to touch them on the app. I don't have much knowledge about it yet, but I think it's a nice start to develop a new hobby. I don't have a great graphics card, so, some of the screenshots may not be perfect, but I'll try my best to cover the quality issues.

Here are some screenshots from a horror game called "Tormented Souls":

As you can see on the screenshot, I just tweaked with some different configurations. I'll try to list what I was thinking below:

  • I tweaked with Basic temp and tip to give a cold midnight ambient on this screenshot. The character is holding a lighter, and I know that lighters, lanterns and candles give a warm light, but white-ish - blue-ish shades are better suit for a game called "Tormented Souls", I believe.
  • I tried to make texture details visible and I think I accomplished this goal on the right side of the screenshot.
  • I wanted to keep the glow, but also I wanted to put darkness as much as possible.
  • On some of the screenshots, I tried to catch a Lovecraftian atmosphere, so I tried to enhance images with green-ish boost.

Here are the results below. Left ones are original screenshots from the game, right ones are LightRoom results:

That's all for now. I'll try to share different screenshots from different games in time, and I'll try different kind of photo edit styles. What is your favorite game, which has a nice landscape worth of good edit?

Looking good! It's not the same thing, but I've started using nVidia reshade quite a bit in games recently. It can make games look a lot better. The filters can even enhance the atmosphere sometimes.

Thank you! I know that NVidia has lots of cool visual tweaks. My GFX card is NVidia 960, I don't have any issues with anything yet, but it decreases some quality :( I'll try to do better stuff with clear landscape.
