I must confess I have not been putting much into 'Tales of the Urban Explorer', the website of late. That can be squarely blamed on 'Fallout 4’ and my recent addiction to the game.
On top of that, a nagging issue was getting me down, that of a DIV with a background and some text, and its implication when viewed on lower-resolution screens. Phones are the worst; everyone uses them and expects a great product whether the resolution sucks or not.
I don't know if the baseline version of 'Tales of the Urban Explorer' looks good on a phone or not, as it's still unpublished on the web and will be for a while.
The issue in question I fixed today and what a relief that was. ChatGPT does well, but if you feed it shit, then it shit's back at you. I needed to ask the question differently for it to feed me some decent code that still was not perfect, but good enough to tinker with.
…'don't expect AI to turn you into some master coder, you still need to know what the fuck you are doing if you want your product to work. This was not the final code and I had to tweak it’…
While the background image is now larger, unless you shrink the window down to some stupid size then the text will no longer encroach onto the next DIV. Maybe I can stop it and force it to truncate, that will be the ultimate solution.
As I literally have only 14 church explores out of well over 400, I figured I may as well do ALL of them and be done with the ‘Churches and Religion’ section in one fell swoop.
I have a spreadsheet with all my published explores in clickable reach, but the last one was so old it was published on busy.org. If you are new to these parts then this will mean little to you, so I will explain with a history lesson:
In the bad old STEEM days, there was a dapp named busy.org. It was much like peakd.com and hive.blog, but handed out votes if you used it.
Everyone used busy.org, due to the free vote and if you happened to have 7000 followers like @meesterboom, then you got a massive vote (of $1 or so).
The gods at busy.org figured that the more followers you had and the more combined SP (not HP), those followers mustered, then you must be a fellow god and be given a huge vote.
I being late on the scene managed a 5c vote or so. Most unfair I say!
…’busy.org years ago on the STEEM blockchain. A certain @berniesanders features with a reputation of -17, thanks to @ned I do believe. Those were the days of mass drama and fun!'…
busy.org asked for a donation with a tick box when you were about to post, but nobody ever ticked it. When Justin Sun took over STEEM, he pulled a lot of delegations that were handed out with the @mrdelegation account including the busy.org one.
When this happened, the busy.org gods, said ‘Fuck it’, left STEEM and removed their image servers along with all our images.
Fortunately, I save all my images, so my St Hilda post is not lost in time.
Scroll a little further down and you see the mess busy.org left. Editing the post you can see the references to the busy server in the form of ‘![IMG_7121.jpg](https://ipfs.busy.org...’, but viewing the post is crap.
The IMG_7121.jpg notice is very handy for me, as I can now simply replace the images from my backup repository.
In 2019 I was not adding filters to my images leaving them quite dull, so this set has been subject to the usual mass filter I add to all my images.
Looking so much better now, why did I leave the word ‘Church’ out in 2019?
Editing this post had the unfortunate side-effect of one auto-vote applying to this 5-year-old post, of course in vain. Is this something related to hive.vote and its settings?
@buggedout was the unfortunate voter and I know full well many others auto-vote my content, so it's best I tag him here, as he may know what is going on. No other auto-votes were triggered.
In the future, I will be editing these posts, and I don't want votes going to waste.
Today I added the 'Hospitals and Asylums' section, and it's getting more and more streamlined and taking me less time to populate each section. The end product would be more automation, the counting of individual explores per section and some nifty javascript to do a count up on the main page and display the results.
Once each section has at least a semblance of content within, I will contact @steddyman who has graciously allowed me some of his web space in exchange for unlimited free fat bastard breakfasts.
As we infrequently do these unhealthy snacks of Bacon, Eggs, Toast, Mushrooms etc.., I feel this is a decent deal for me.
…’YOU AGAIN, Carla doesn’t pull any punches but can you blame her? Dumping shit on her repeatedly makes for a jaded trader’…

All that's needed is for me to keep away from Fallout 4 and things could happen soon. I should take heed from Trashcan Carla who repeatedly states… 'YOU AGAIN', when I initiate a trade which consists of me dumping all my junk onto her.
What else can I do with eight sets of Raider Leggings?
Businesses Gone Bust next. Oh, the joy…
