@steevc just finished a 7.01km run, that lasted for 44 minutes.
This run helped steevc burn 518.0 calories.

Description from Strava:
I was at the pub for our fortnightly music session last night. That is always fun. I hardly play my guitar between sessions as I mostly play drums at home, but I can still do it and I remember a few songs. I did a few that I wrote, but have not played some of them in a while. I borrowed a steel guitar for one as it needs slide.

This morning it was a little above freezing and so good for running. I did the usual loop up the hill around Fairfield whilst listening to some podcasts (including Radiolab on really dark things and Pod Save The UK on the political mess of the world).

The running is hard work, but I mostly just kept going at a fairly steady pace. On the way back I decided to check out a path into a small wood. I remember that somewhere around there was a old cemetery, but I did not find it today. There are paths, but there are a few fallen trees and so I had to pick my way through and that slowed me down a bit.

Coming down the hill I got up some speed and so the last part was a fairly good pace compared to recent runs. It is good to know I can still do that.

There are high winds predicted for tonight. It will probably not hit us too bad, but other parts of the country will suffer. Take care out there. At least we do not have the extreme cold that is hitting the US right now.

Run free and be nice.

Saludos mi señor británico ..bueno le cuento que acá en Venezuela correr a 0 grados Celsius nadie lo haría usted es un campeón

The cold is not such a problem if you are prepared, but I want to run and have to deal with the weather. I soon warm up. I find summer is more of a problem.

I understand sir, we are different latitudes and cultures here with that climate, no one would run.

Excellent!

Great job! Keep up the good work! 👏 !STRIDE (Comment !STOPSTRIDE to stop receiving upvotes & STR)

I like such scenes in forests, and particularly if there is a water floowing through.

No water flowing there, but it's a nice bit of nature.

Good luck with those winds! We had some nasty ones here lately. I just used the treadmill again this morning. They have some new paths around our house that I have been wanting to check out, but I think I am going to have to wait for a bit. That's a nice looking steel guitar in the photo above.

It's not too bad here for now. We had some wild winds last year, but I expect it will be worse on the coast.

That guy with the steel guitar is quite inventive. He's modified it a bit and made his own slide. I didn't get a photo, but he also brought along his musical saw.

That is really cool. Oh yeah, I've seen people play the saw before. Interesting stuff!

These days not much surprises me when it comes to the weather. I feel like Mother Nature is playing weather roulette on a daily basis. Either that or perhaps she is using a Magic 8-Ball for our weather. It certainly keeps us all on our toes. And in both our cases, keeps us bundled up and cozy. Thank goodness for heating pads.

We are seeing more extreme weather events and should not be in denial about our influence on that. The fossil fuel companies want business as usual and will pay politicians well to maintain that.

Stay warm!

These days weather is more roller coaster ride than weekend cruise. Interestingly enough today the temps were in the 60's. From one day to the next we went from being bundled up and needing to drip the house pipes to a sunny day and wearing short sleeves.
