I have not done one of these in a while, but I do keep monitoring various statistics about the Hive platform.
Minnows
The @tenkminnows project I maintain is intended to boost more accounts to minnow status. Numbers fell after the Great Fork, but there has been a recent improvement. Lots of new accounts are created all the time, but many struggle to get anywhere. Those of us with significant HP should support those whose posts we enjoy. I and many others do okay, so consider redirecting your auto votes where they make more of a difference.

SEO
I have always thought the Hive name was too generic. You have to narrow down your searches to get past results for heating controllers and some other blockchains. At least Presearch is coming up with something. How can we improve on this? I expect having multiple front ends does not really help matters. If you go to LeoFinance it may not even be obvious it runs on Hive.
Web stats
I should think the only way to get accurate web stats is if you have the server logs, but I look at what Alexa offers via Hypestat. Unfortunately this data may not be available for much longer.
peakd is the most popular of the social dapps. Ecency web stats will not show the full picture as many people will use the mobile app. It seems India is a major source of viewers right now. That is a massive potential market.
Dapps
DappRadar is a bit variable on reflecting actual users. Numbers for Splinterlands and the main sites seem realistic, but for others such as @risingstargame and 3speak it hardly shows any when we know those are well used. The big three social dapps add up to far more than St--mit gets.
Previously I have looked at @stateofthedapps, but that does not seem to be getting any Hive data lately. Perhaps some developers need to work with them on that.
The markets
Of course I keep an eye on crypto prices on Coingecko. It will be interesting to see if the 20% HBD interest will drive more trading volume.
Other coverage
Due to the name it can be hard to find coverage of Hive in the media. I had a Google feed for mentions of 'the other blockchain', but that is not so viable for Hive.
I did see mention of this list of social sites on Sourceforge. That used to be a major place to find software, but may be less used now. You can review sites there and Hive could do with more positive reviews. It looks like some disgruntled ex-users are putting it down.
Are there other places you look to see how Hive is doing? We have @arcange and @penguinpablo doing daily posts with various charts. It would be good to see Hive covered in places that people outside the community will see.
Hive five!
