Hello.
Yesterday I made a sudden decision to change my hair. While thinking about what to do, I chose a model that I wanted to do but never had the opportunity to try. It has been in my mind for a long time to dye a lock between the ears in light tones. Since I constantly change my hair, there was a hair opener at home. So I got myself excited saying "what are you waiting for, try now" and here I am. Of course, the first step is to open my hair. I will explain these steps in detail below. Let's get started!
As you can see, my hair is dyed with an intense ashy auburn dye. Before that, my bottom base color was red and I applied intense ashy brown hair directly on it and this is how a hair color came out. I'm happy with my hair in general right now, but adding some movement wouldn't be bad at all.
After I decided which part of my hair I would dye, I divided the part that I would dye into strands.
I used the lightener and oxidant I bought last summer. Previously, I used to use 9-12% oxidant when bleaching hair, but this time I reduced it to 6%. I made this choice because I want my hair to wear less. I think a low volume oxidant does the same job, so there's no need to wear the hair out by using 40 volumes.
After homogenizing the opening mixture I prepared, I applied it to the tufts I separated. Then I gathered them with a small buckle. I used to use foil, but doing so always damaged my hair. Now I only collect it with a buckle, sometimes I wrap it in a bag.
I let the opener sit for 15 minutes. I could have waited a little longer, but I was afraid my hair would burn. I thought 15 minutes would be enough, but some orange remained.
When parting my hair, I noticed that I took very little. That's why I added a little more hair and applied lightener again to the areas that did not open.
I used purple shampoo to break the orange after washing off the last time I used the lightener. I bought it last year and frankly, I wasn't very happy with it. Still, I thought it would be okay to use it. The reason I'm not satisfied is because it doesn't neutralize the oranges too much.
As you can see, it didn't neutralize it much, but I can still say it reduced it by a ton.
I'm planning to paint it pink or yellow, but I can't decide clearly which one to choose. Since I can't go around in orange color like this, I decided to polish it. Lacquer is a technique applied in hairdressers. It is prepared by adding extra water to the paint. The house had heavy ashy auburn paint and I wasn't sure how it would turn out. Anyway, I thought it was better than orange anyway and started preparing the polish.
I added half a tube of dye and the same amount of oxidant. I added half a cup of warm water and mixed well.

Yes, I got rid of the ugly orange as a result. Of course, this is not the image I want, I will apply paint on it, but it will handle me like this for a day or two.
Hair Look in Natural Light
As I look at the pictures, I think I will give up on pink and continue with yellow tones. Maybe I'll try pink instead of yellow towards summer. I used pink last summer and that color was so cute.
What do you think about it? Do you think I should continue with the yellow tones or apply a different shade of paint?

There are still some orange spots, but I plan to fix them tomorrow. This is why it is difficult to do this application alone. You can get support from someone else where you can't see. I'm ending the process here for now. My hair roots started to hurt a little because I applied the lightening process one after the other. I thought if I kept going any longer it would hurt.
In the past, I used to constantly bleach my hair and dye it in different tones, but there would be no damage in the slightest. Now I noticed that the structure of my hair has changed and my scalp and hair have become more sensitive. Well, as long as it is now.
More to come tomorrow...
Love...
