Why Should You Have FOCUS On Mighty Gladiators of Splinterlands

in #hive-14662010 days ago

Greetings, my dear Splintelands mate!
I hope you are enjoying the game. I am also having fun with the game after a couple of weeks' break due to my visit to my home country, where I could not manage time to play the game. So, this season will be an empty bucket with my Glint tokens, though I have been trying to grab some recently, and I have already crossed the Diamond III league. That seems to be much easier than before in the modern format. And I hope to be successful in grabbing the reward from the Diamond II league with some amazing chests with solid rewards for free of cost. In this post, I will discuss the Gladiators, and let’s find out what makes Gladiators Special with my own experience and my Gladiators collections at the moment and my plans to expand in the future.

Gladiator cards are those rare, super-powerful fighters that have the capability to turn a lost battle into a win in many cases. If you have played with them in the Splinterlands, then you must love them to have them on your team. Unfortunately, players need to spend so much time getting them and leveling them up. Gladiators are SoulBound cards, which means you can not trade, sell, or rent them, which makes them very special. You can only get them through Gladius Cases, which you can buy with Merits you get in Guild Brawls, from the loot chests or directly from the Glint Shop. The really cool thing is that every Gladiator has Bloodlust power, which changes the game and makes them deadlier with every kill each round. It is very important to level up Gladiators, and I hope this blog will help you in your Splinterlands journey.

The best thing for a gladiator is the Bloodlust Ability: The Secret Weapon of a Gladiator that makes it so powerful, though some other cards in regular editions are now getting this ability. With this ability, a monster gets stronger every time it kills another monster.

  • For every kill, all stats that are not zero get +1, such as heart, armour, speed, attack, etc.

  • In the Reverse Speed ruleset, -1 to Speed to make the monster faster to attack.

As an example, your Gladiator starts with three melee attacks. With two kills, its Attack goes up to 5. With skills like Double Strike, this makes a monster that can kill tanks in one hit by the end of the fight. So, they hit harder the longer they stay alive, which makes them great for battles.

My collections
Currently, I have a great number of Gladiators, though I am missing a lot of copies from the Legendaries. I have two Legendaries and 4 Epics out of the total 6 Legendaries and 5 Epics in the Gladiators collections. These are very rare pulls and so I am trying to open as many Gladius packs as possible to have all the legenaries and Epics from the Gladiators collections. Also, levelling up for Gladiators requires a longer time to have an adequate number of BCX as you can not find them in the market through trading.

I have more cards in the Common and Rare collections, as they can be easily pulled from every Gladius pack. But for Epic and Legendaries you have to wait for a long time to pull on. So it is very necessary to buy as many Gladius packs as possible. The rate of a single pack is 2000 Merits, which can be found in the Glintshop and loot chests. Besides, the main source of the Merits is the fighting Brwals that can give you a massive number of merits if your Guild is at a higher position.

Some of the best Gladiators
Almost all the Gladiators are very powerful but there are some that are insane for a battle. Here, I include some of my favorite gladiators who are so powerful that you can easily understand the level of usability of these cards for your battle.

The Legendary Dragon LARISSA KERATO is a great card that has the amazing ability of DOUBLE STRIKE with a lot of other abilities, such as the amazing ability of BLAST. This card is insane if you have in your team for any battle.

Another legendary that I recently pulled is the TATIANA BLAYDE, which has MELEE and RANGE attacks simultaneously, making it a great card. It also has some other amazing abilities that make it a beast for any battle.

The other two card that I want to include in my favorite list are the QUORA TOWERSHEAD which is the best card among the Gladiators in my opinion or in the top 3 and the other super card from the common category KATRELBA GOBSON with the sneak ability and DOUBLE STRIKE together.

Both of them are so powerful, and I often use them in battle on a regular basis because of their excellent utility when I have the scope to use them.

Ultimate tips in a nutshell to expand the GLADIATORS collection
I hope you have already understood why gladiators are such a useful collection for your battles, as they are so powerful. Here, I am mentioning the ultimate tips to grow your Gladiators in a faster way.

  • Join a good Guild with a higher ranking and participate in the battle regularly.

  • Don't miss your battle; otherwise, good guilds can kick you out, and pay attention to the guild rules and regulations.

  • Utilize your GLINT tokens to buy more Merits, but don't send a lot as, in some cases, it is better to buy loot chests rather than direct Merit purchase after the price is increased twice in the shop.

  • Try to climb up in the Rating to have more loot chests for free of cost.

  • Accumulate Merits for multiple Gladius packs opening as it is better to open multiple packs together to have god pulls.

  • Keep up the consistency in playing Splinterlands to grow your decks with the rewards cards and Gladiators simultaneously.

I hope you find some useful information in the post that will add more fun to your Splinterlands journey. If you have any questions, you can ask me in the comments. I will try to answer them as much as I can. Thanks a lot for your time and attention. I will catch you at the next one.
Have a great day!

This was an eye-opening read! I’ve played Splinterlands but never really paid attention to Bloodlust—I had no idea how powerful it could be in the right battles. The way Gladiators get stronger with every kill makes them sound like an absolute beast.

Your breakdown of how to accumulate Merits and Gladius packs was really helpful too. I didn’t realize how important Guild Brawls are for getting these cards. Do you think investing Glint into Merits is worth it long-term, or is it better to focus on loot chests?

Thanks for sharing your insights—I definitely learned something new today!

It is a pleasure that it helps you to consider these powerful Gladiators.

Do you think investing Glint into Merits is worth it long-term, or is it better to focus on loot chests?

In my opinion, merits can be bought up to 200 merits for 450 Glints at the maximum price; the latter ratio is not viable as you need the rebellion reward card also. Personally, I don't buy merits when the price exceeds 300 Glints per 200 merits in the shop.

And for the MAJOR CHEST at 1000 Glints, you can have 500+ merits, which is a far better plan for merits, and you can also have the chance for other assets. I do it for my approach, I hope it will help you to figure out your own strategy.
Thanks for your comment. Have a nice day.
