THE FREE GIFT OF NATURE: NATURE FOR NURTURE.
Good day everyone.
I hope we all had a great day today?
For me it's a great day because today is my dad's birthday.
Meanwhile...
This is my post for the new initiative.
We all will agree with me that we came into this world with nothing.
Think about it, what is nature?
Nature includes the natural things we see around us that we did not contribute a dime to bring into existence but are useful, beneficial to mankind and most essentially, fit for survival.
Nature itself is a free gift. A free gift is something we receive without a price tag on it. A free gift is something we do not work for.
For example, I have always wanted a portrait for myself but I could not purchase it. However, a friend of mine gifted me a portrait on my birthday and trust me, I intentionally hung it on the wall so that it will not fall down and break.
One thing about gifts is that the giver of the gift, knows that we need it, if not now maybe later and that it will be beneficial for us. Is it possible to talk about gifts without talking about the giver?
For instance, if my best friend bought me an iPhone, I will be show casing my iPhone, mentioning her name as well as the person that bought it for me. I want people to see her in the positive light.
So for me, I would say that nature is God’s gift to us (mankind). We did not request for it but he gave them to us knowing that we will need it to sustain us as humans. God is so kind a nature is a thoughtful gift from God.
Nature is anything not made by man.
The Free Gifts of Nature includes but are not limited to:
Firstly, the fresh air we breathe: Of all the free gifts of nature, this one is top on my list. I mean without the air (oxygen) that we breathe, can we get to enjoy other gifts of nature like the water bodies? I guess not: my favorites are the waterfalls and the beach. I mean you may want to take a visit to the Ibeno beach at and have a feel of what I am talking about.
Secondly, the land: where do we have our feet placed on? *
* Where do we have our vegetation planted on?
* Where do we have the foundation of the house we live in*?
Where do we have our cars parked? (Commonly called a garage)
Other nature’s free gift includes: streams, rivers, and lakes.
Talk about nature, talk about beauty. Look around and you will see that nature beautifies our world. I can imagine what the world will be like without the sun to brighten the day, without the stars to shine at night and without the moon to give room to locate our heads on our bed in other to rest from the day’s labor.
Wrapping it all up! On creation day, God gave man the free gift of nature. Imagine that someone gives you a gift, what would you do? Especially a gift you desired for so long but could not get it yourself- you cherish and value it right? .Hence, the need to- nurture the free gift of nature given to us by God.
