Between benefit and harm.
Very often, when discussing the benefits and harms of something, for example, the benefits and harms of certain plants, people create a bias in one direction or another, concluding that this plant deserves our attention, and this plant is just a weed, or moreover, it should be avoided in every possible way because of its toxicity.
As a rule, such a bias, or imbalance, arises from the limited knowledge about the properties of plants, the view of them occurs in a very limited area and I myself used to look at the plants that I grew in my garden.
For example, looking at this section of a flowering meadow with many different plants, you can immediately see some medicinal plants that can be dried and brewed into teas and some poisonous plants that are better not to taste.
If you look more closely, you will see that there is wormwood and dandelion, which can be used in cooking, and wormwood in winemaking, the benefits are obvious.
And this blue alien from Australia is extremely poisonous and toxic, but in beekeeping this plant is highly valued because bees happily collect nectar from it and it brings only benefits to people.
Therefore, the more we know about plants, the more even and horizontal our view of what is harmful and what is useful becomes.
Below you can see my containers with data that I collect in INLEO and always have quick access to them it is very convenient.
Material thoughts about beekeeping №1
When I visited dense forests, I did not see ideal conditions for bees there, but many beekeepers harvest beekeeping products in such places.
