Thailand has a unique but slightly hidden attraction known as the WALK OR SWIM. Right next to a seemingly unending set of steps is a mini whitewater river, and visitors are often encouraged to use the water for a faster descent.
As for going up, well it's much easier to simply walk on the steps, but if there is little rainstorm and a mini flash flood to accompany it, what is normally a 2-hour walk up the stairs can become a 40-second ride back to the bottom via the left side, but you do have to sign a liability waiver.

'MERICA and it's culture are well-known in the Philippines, whether it be our love of unhealthy food, massive cars, or even good ole' Christmas. Every year Filipinos gather to LARP as American citizens for a weekend.
The days are broken up into different themes like popular holidays, wild west, and war, with locals dressing the part, reenacting certain historical events, and even saying 'Merican things like "Howdy!" and "What's up bro?"

A COCONUT SERIAL KILLER is on the loose in the Philippines, but so far none of the local villagers feel threatened or worried. Rumor has it this guy used to be a headhunter, but nowadays he settles for cracking the skulls of coconuts.
Redirecting violent tendencies towards coconuts is a healthy choice, and coconuts are also healthy to drink and eat, so I think this situation is a win-win for both this gentleman and the local population.
