The Little Road Theory

in #neoxian2 years ago

As I mentioned in my last post, I'm teaching myself to edit videos, but this time instead of the awful stock music I have a beautiful new song from my brother, taking us on a journey!

What kind of journey? The Little Road Theory is something my husband and I invented years ago. The basic premise is, if you want to go where there is few people and plenty of scenery, no matter where you are, take a highway to a side road to a back road, and if you can- find a dirt road and a seasonal road. Guaranteed to give you a breather from the hustle of society!

The hunt for apples on back roads and in abandoned orchards and pastures is something we do every fall. A bit of a glitch in the plans this year as you'll see in the video..ah well, at least there's beer!

Hope you enjoyed the road trip! Now make it a great rest of the day Hive Peeps:0)

One of the coolest places I've been was a little beach town in winter in Argentina. Just walking around and feeling like the whole place was just free and open was amazing. I must have walked that whole town and their little trails. The park was massive and there was so much just chill beach type of places to hang out with no one there. I loved it.

That sounds amazing. This is the first year I haven't been to the ocean since... actually I can't remember a year I didn't go, and I definitely feel the loss. But the private places in the woods and at the lakes around here are pretty cool too :)

That is a beautiful song!! What an uplifting story. Love slowly grows and I'd keep it exactly the same. Love that line - My love in a jar and you gently opened the lid.

Sorry it was too late for apples.

It's an excellent tribute to his wife, I definitely got lucky in the sister in law department, I love Mary :)

The trees were actually dead, I made the video yesterday but I took the clips for it a few weeks ago when apples were still on. Something killed those trees. I'm wondering if it was the caterpillars, the forest in Hector was covered in them in the spring, damaged oak and maple trees.
