Hello, I'm here with the 5th part of a series about the basic things in Hive. My aim in this series is also to increase the Turkish and English resources in Hive. Sometimes people are curious about specific things and want to read about it. In such cases, I think these topics will be useful. Today's topic is Downvotes.
Why Are There Downvotes?
If you have used other Web 3 platforms before, you may notice that some of them don't have a downvote system. There are some pros and cons to this system, but I think there are more pros. I mentioned downvotes in my Plagiarism post. On many platforms, people try to make money by farming different abuses. They can be successful to some extent because it's not always easy to recognize and catch them, but downvotes are necessary so that when they are caught they don't continue to benefit from the platform. I have personally seen dozens of identity thieves, plagiarists and AI content creators downvoted, and I have downvoted some of them myself. There is a saying on Hive that unless you see your rewards in the wallet, they don't belong to you. In short, downvotes are necessary to prevent abuse.
The bad thing about downvotes is that some people abuse them. Someone might downvote you just because they don't like you, or because you don't share the same opinion. There may be no reason at all, just a random downvote. If this vote has no value, ignore it, usually such people have very little voting power. If you get a big downvote, you can ask the person who downvoted you why they did it. Usually there is a reason and there is nothing to fear. No one will downvote you regularly unless you have done something wrong on purpose. Sometimes the reason for downvoting is to balance the prize pool. You may have noticed that sometimes some posts get more votes than they should. In this case, some whales balance the prize pool by downvoting the post slightly.
What Should You Consider When Downvoting?
You can use downvotes however you like, but there may be a fallback. Therefore, I recommend not to use it randomly. If you see an abusive user on Hive, a scammer or something similar, you can downvote them. Other than that, I advise you not to point the gun at others XD

Neden Aşağı Oy Var?
Daha önce başka Web 3 platformlarını kullandıysanız bazılarında aşağı oy sisteminin olmadığını görebilirsiniz. Bu sistemin bazı artı ve eksileri var ama ben artı yönlerinin daha fazla olduğunu düşünüyorum. Aşağı oylardan size İntihal gönderimde bahsetmiştim. Birçok platformda insanlar farklı kötüye kullanımlarla para kazanmaya yani farming yapmaya çalışırlar. Bir aşamaya kadar da başarılı olabilirler çünkü onları fark etmek ve yakalamak her zaman kolay olmuyor ama yakalandıklarında platformdan fayda sağlamaya devam etmemeleri için aşağı oylar gereklidir. Ben şahsen onlarca kimlik hırsızının, intihalcinin ve yapay zekayla içerik üretenlerin aşağı oylandığını gördüm ve bazılarını kendim de aşağı oyladım. Hive'da şöyle bir söz var, ödüllerinizi cüzdanda görmediğiniz sürece o ödüller size ait değildir. Kısacası kötüye kullanımı önlemek adına aşağı oylar gereklidir.
Aşağı oyların kötü yanı ise bazı insanların onu kötüye kullanmasıdır. Biri sadece sizi sevmediği için aşağı oylayabilir ya da düşünceleriniz aynı olmadığı için. Ortada hiçbir sebep olmayabilir de, sadece rastgele bir aşağı oy size gelmiş olabilir. Eğer bu oyun bir değeri yoksa onu önemsemeyin, genelde bu tarz insanların oy gücü çok azdır. Eğer büyük bir aşağı oy aldıysanız sizi aşağı oylayan kişiye bunu neden yaptığını sorabilirsiniz. Genelde ortada bir sebep vardır ve korkacak bir şey yoktur. Kasıtlı olarak bir yanlış yapmadığınızda kimse sizi düzenli olarak aşağı oylamaz. Bazen de aşağı oylamanın sebebi ödül havuzunu dengelemektir. Siz de bazen bazı gönderilerin olması gerektiğinden daha çok oy aldığını fark etmişsinizdir. Bu durumda bazı balinalar gönderiyi bir miktar aşağı oylayarak ödül havuzunu dengeliyor.
Aşağı Oylarken Nelere Dikkat Etmelisiniz?
Aşağı oyları dilediğiniz gibi kullanabilirsiniz ancak bunun bir geri dönüşü olabilir. Bu yüzden onu rastgele kullanmamanızı tavsiye ederim. Hive'da kötüye kullanan bir kullanıcı, bir dolandırıcı ya da buna benzer bir şey görürseniz onu aşağıya oylayabilirsiniz. Bunun dışında silahı başkalarını doğrultmamanızı tavsiye ederim XD
