Thoughtful Daily Post Curation Compilation #11

in #hive-1092884 months ago

By conveying our deeper thoughts on Hive, we can uplift and support each other across the blockchain. This week we had some wonderful authors visit to share their life reflections, wisdom, and snapshots of their experience on this rock with us.

No matter if they have responded to our weekly prompt, or posted on their own topics, we wanted to take a moment to celebrate thoughtfulness on chain! We hope you will consider taking the time to check their writing out and support their work! You may even make a new friend. ✌️

Sand, Sea, Sky, Clouds, Footprints: How Naming the World Soothes My Anxiety by @riverflows

It's been really, really difficult being back home. It's partly being back to reality I'm no longer under the illusion of freedom travelling in the Land Rover and partly my Dad's illness, combined with a resentment my trip was cut short, jealousy that Jamie is still having fun in the UK without me, and intense feelings of loneliness, so intense my chest had been hurting and I was waking up crying with the weight of everything and longing for the comfort of skin, of nuzzling into someone who's got you. But that's no way to live. The other morning I'd had enough of myself. This is getting stupid, I told myself sternly

Why I Lost My Zeal for Straight As by @olujay

I went from zero to hero in my academics between secondary school and university. From bagging six F9s to being a regularly sound engineering student, I had to do a lot of work for that transformation. At some point, however, I suddenly began to see things a little differently, and, for the first time, my grades were not higher than the previous year in the final semester. I finally got the hang of studying and getting good grades. I understood just how to study efficiently in a way that worked for me

Seeds of Joy by @ibbtammy

Like I always tell my friends and acquaintances, “The world is too chaotic to be the reason someone feels bad or second guesses themselves”. The world always needs more kindness. Tell us some ways you’ve thought of to make other people’s days better that you feel are unique maybe you will give someone else fresh ideas! It costs nothing to be kind and certainly, nothing to put a smile on people's faces. Having more kind people in our society today would solve a lot of problems, as people would be less tense, angry, heartbroken, and pained

Insides In A Knot by @jhymi

Just like finding out that heart break is not figurative at all but an actual, physical ache where you clutch at your chest and wince in pain, the term, “your insides in a knot,” is also true in a very literal way. You feel your insides tighten in a way that becomes painful. There’s a twist and turn and tug in your tummy that remains insistent till whatever is causing you that angst fades away to the recesses of your mind. I’ve been having a lot of those insides in a knot feeling recently. This year has been one of a kind for me

How do you think when you are alone? An art of living by @mulik369

Hello friends. How are you all? I hope you are well. Friends, when I used to go to a meditation center in the beautiful hills of Lonavala near Pune to learn meditation, we were taught to work on our minds there. Our mental states, their effects on our daily life and body, and our spiritual progress

It's ironic to get burnt for being kind and agreeable. by @kenechukwu97

Those who are kind and are said to be "kind to a fault" sometimes find themselves in situations where they are getting punished for being kind. That is one ironic thing about life. Our society would be so much better if we had more kind people in it, but those who are truly nice often get the short end of the stick. At least, that's how it seems in the short term. For the record, if you are a kind person at that extreme level, it mostly means that you are caring, compassionate, you don't enjoy conflict, you always try to get along with people and you find it difficult to say no when you need to say it

𝑯𝒐𝒎𝒆 𝑰𝒔 𝑨 𝑹𝒆𝒇𝒍𝒆𝒄𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏 𝑶𝒇 𝑾𝒉𝒐 𝒀𝒐𝒖 𝑨𝒓𝒆. by @amiegeoffrey

"Charity begins at home," this is a phrase that is often used to show that learning begins from home. Most of the values that resonate with us today were what had been instilled in us from home while growing up. If I decide to look at it from another perspective, it simply reminds me that home is where the love is, home is where we start to show who we truly are before extending it to others. There's this particular man in my hood who was very kind to people, he was always there for people in the community whenever they needed his help which made a lot of people loved him until the day his wife revealed that he neglected the needs of his children and her at home only to portray what he is not outside just to earn the respect of those outside, sadly this act didn't sit well with most of the people he has helped and this is where I think Charity begins at home. I am always of the opinion that one cannot give what they do not have and a bad attitude is like a bad tire which cannot take us far unless we change them for good
